Steampunky Boots on Zulily

These showed up in my inbox this morning, from Zulily:

Tobacco Santa Fe Extra Wide-Calf Leather Boot by Vestiture

Chocolate Monaco Wide-Calf Boot by Intaglia

Ooooh, I like the "Stone" finish even better!

Cocoa Stockton Wide-Calf Boot by Intaglia

But the best of the lot--look at these beauties!

Olive Guadalupe Leather Boot by Vestiture

They also come in "Cocoa". . .

And black, which I also really like. But the green is the most fabulous!

Brown Kingsville Wide-Calf Leather & Suede Boot by San Jacinto Boot Company

I don't usually see this many excellent Steampunky boots in one place, let alone for such great prices. There were more I didn't show that would fit nicely in a Real World Steampunk Wardrobe--I just showed you the best.

A nice way to start out the morning!

New favorite earrings

It's been a while since I posted, but not for lack of luscious steampunky things in my life.  Case in point--this beautiful pair of earrings:

I've been so pleasantly surprised by how versatile they are--they add a delightful bit of color to my usual darkish and fairly somber wardrobe, and seem to complement almost anything I might put on. Elaina Louise has been my go-to steampunky jeweler on Etsy, and I have yet to be disappointed.

Ah, I love whimsical clothing!  And creative design!  And brass buttons!  And trimmings!  Some of these are more preppy than others, but all of them could be worked into a Real World Steampunk Wardrobe.  Hopefully with little feathered fascinators set at a jaunty angle. And tall leather boots. With striped stockings.  Or even just distressed skinny jeans!  But the boots are a must with this look.

I'm tempted!  Anyone else?

A Sampling of Steampunky Jackets

Well, last night I reached a milestone--while I was browsing and saving things to share here, Ebay alerted me that I had reached my quota of saves. Egad! Time to blog and share the lovelies I've been finding with you.

My main hunt at the moment is for jackets and coats. And ooooooh, this is a great time of year for finding beautiful and oh-so Steampunky things.  This post will serve as a sampling!

First, we have the elegant, more dressy jackets:

Then we have an elegant, military-esque jacket:

And then a wealth of casual pseudo-military jackets:

Then we have all the so feminine riding jackets:

by Cabi

by Zelda

Oh, that last one is just gorgeous.

And finally, a little jacket that was not quite in any of the above categories, but which I really like, and which I think could be a great addition to a Real World Steampunk wardrobe. Particularly mine. Ahem.

As you can see from this post, Ralph Lauren is a fount of good Pseudo-Steampunk pieces this year, esp. jackets. I'll post more specific to RL later!

But to give this artisan credit--when my three Mini Minnies just now walked by the computer and saw those images, they immediately started cooing in delight. I hope they give you a smile today too. : )

Gold Button Boots on Zulily

Another find while browsing the real leather pseudo-Steampunk boots available on Zulily this week:

So fun!

I totally love how the leather goes half-way down the heel, finished with a tiny scalloped edge. Details like that thrill me.

While it is also available in the usual brown tones, I think the "blue and ash" combination above is my favorite in this "boot."
